Ingredients:

4 - 5 lb chicken

Water

 6 oz beer

1 tbsp rock salt

2 tbsp garlic salt

1 tsp five spice powder

2 -3 tbsp honey

 

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Marinate the chicken in pot with enough water to cover and beer and salt for 8 hours.
  3. Rub the salt, garlic salt, and five spice powder all over the inside and outside of chicken.
  4. Let it sit for 4 hours and rub honey evenly over chicken.
  5. Place roast in 13” x 9”roasting pan and cook for 1 hour.  30 minutes into cooking time, baste chicken with 1 tbsp of honey.
