Ingredients:
4 lbs ground beef
4 cups canned tomatoes
2 cups fine bread crumbs
2 eggs
3 ½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
24 slices bacon
1 ½ cups sour cream
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix together beef, 2 cups of tomatoes, bread crumbs, eggs, salt, pepper, oregano and onion.
- Roll into 3” circles, about 24 meatballs
- Wrap each ball in slice of bacon, carefully overlapping the bacon ends.
- Place meatballs in baking pan with bacon ends facing down.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Mix together the rest of the tomatoes and sour cream and pour over meatballs.
- Turn off oven and return pan to oven.
