Ingredients:

6 Green peppers

1 lb ground beef

1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)

1 large can tomato sauce

2 tsp salt

1 minced garlic clove

2 tbsp chopped onion

1 qt salted water

 

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut stem from peppers and remove seeds.
  3. Cook peppers for 5 minutes in salted water.
  4. Cook beef, garlic, and the onion all together until onion is tender.
  5.  Drain all the fat and stir in salt, rice and half of the tomato sauce.
  6. Mix everything together well and stuff each pepper with mixture.
  7. Pour rest of the tomato sauce on each pepper.
  8. Bake covered for 45 minutes and then uncovered for 15 minutes.
