Ingredients:
6 Green peppers
1 lb ground beef
1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
1 large can tomato sauce
2 tsp salt
1 minced garlic clove
2 tbsp chopped onion
1 qt salted water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut stem from peppers and remove seeds.
- Cook peppers for 5 minutes in salted water.
- Cook beef, garlic, and the onion all together until onion is tender.
- Drain all the fat and stir in salt, rice and half of the tomato sauce.
- Mix everything together well and stuff each pepper with mixture.
- Pour rest of the tomato sauce on each pepper.
- Bake covered for 45 minutes and then uncovered for 15 minutes.
