Ingredients:

½ cup butter, melted

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

2/3 cup milk, room temperature

1 egg, at room temperature

 

Filling:

1 (28oz.) can sliced peaches, drained

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg

 

 

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in 9 x13 baking pan.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.  Stir in egg and milk.
  4. Pour mixture evenly over melted butter in pan.
  5. Mix together peaches, sugars, and spices for filling. Pour over mixture in pan, being carefully not to stir up what’s on the bottom.
  6. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until batter comes to top and is golden brown.
