Ingredients:
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk, room temperature
1 egg, at room temperature
Filling:
1 (28oz.) can sliced peaches, drained
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in 9 x13 baking pan.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in egg and milk.
- Pour mixture evenly over melted butter in pan.
- Mix together peaches, sugars, and spices for filling. Pour over mixture in pan, being carefully not to stir up what’s on the bottom.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until batter comes to top and is golden brown.
