Ingredients:
1 tablespoon shortening
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450°.
- Grease bottom and sides of popover pan.
- Beats eggs, mix together with milk and butter. Add in flour and salt until smooth.
- Preheat popover pan in oven for 2 minutes. Remove and fill popover cups half full.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° and bake another 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and prick with knife to allow steam to escape.
- Serve with favorite fillings or toppings.
