Yields 48 to 60 cookies.
Ingredients:
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp light cream
2 ½ cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
½ tsp vanilla
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine together the butter and sugar and beat in eggs and light cream.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together. Add the lemon juice (optional) and vanilla.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Use a rolling pin to roll out dough onto floured board and cut with cookie cutter.
- Bake for 8 minutes.
