Ingredients:

¾ cup margarine
2 cups sugar
1 can (16 ounces) pumpkin
4 eggs
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
 
Frosting:

1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese
1/3 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups confectioner’s sugar, sifted
 
 
Directions:

  1. Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Blend in pumpkin and eggs.
  3. Add all dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Spread mixture into greased and floured 15 x 10” jelly roll pan.
  5. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool well.
  6. For frosting, combine softened cream cheese, margarine and vanilla. Mix well.
  7. Add sugar slowly and beat well.
  8. Once bars have cooled, top with frosting.
