Ingredients:
6 apples
1 ½ cups rolled oats
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
- Heat oven to 375° and lightly butter an 8in. or 9in. square baking pan.
- Core, peel and slice apples.
- Arrange apples evenly in prepared pan.
- Place oats, brown sugar, flour, spices, and salt in sealable plastic bag.
- Shake until well combined.
- Cut the softened butter into 1 inch pieces and add to the oat mixture.
- Seal bag again and squeeze until mixture holds together.
- Open bag and pour on top of apples.
- Bake 40 to 45 minutes until it bubbles. Let cool.
- If desired, serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
