Ingredients:

6 apples
1 ½ cups rolled oats
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
 
 
Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375° and lightly butter an 8in. or 9in. square baking pan.
  2. Core, peel and slice apples.
  3. Arrange apples evenly in prepared pan.
  4. Place oats, brown sugar, flour, spices, and salt in sealable plastic bag.
  5. Shake until well combined.
  6. Cut the softened butter into 1 inch pieces and add to the oat mixture.
  7. Seal bag again and squeeze until mixture holds together.
  8. Open bag and pour on top of apples.
  9. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until it bubbles. Let cool.
  10. If desired, serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
