Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter (softened)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
⅔ cup evaporated low fat milk
3 cups baking apples (chopped finely)
¾ cup pecans (chopped finely)
Powdered sugar
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and the butter until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until its smooth. Pour in the flour mix alternately with the evaporated milk. Stir in the apples and nuts.
- Pour the batter into 9x13 baking pan.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes and cool completely. Cut into bars and then sprinkle with powdered sugar when they are cooled.
