Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
¾ cup flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¾ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup milk
3 large eggs
½ tsp vanilla extract
Pecan Caramel Sauce:
1 bag caramel candies (14 oz)
½ cup water
1 cup pecan pieces
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix. Add oil, milk, eggs and vanilla stirring constantly until smooth.
- Pour the batter into pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- For the sauce: Mix together the caramel candies and water and cook it until it’s smooth. Stir in the pecans and cook stirring constantly for 1 minute.
- Drizzle sauce on top of cooled cake.
