Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

¾ cup flour

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

¾ cup vegetable oil

¼ cup milk

3 large eggs

½ tsp vanilla extract

 

Pecan Caramel Sauce:

1 bag caramel candies (14 oz)

½ cup water

1 cup pecan pieces

 


Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.  Mix. Add oil, milk, eggs and vanilla stirring constantly until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  4. For the sauce: Mix together the caramel candies and water and cook it until it’s smooth. Stir in the pecans and cook stirring constantly for 1 minute.
  5. Drizzle sauce on top of cooled cake.
