Ingredients:

1 package banana quick bread and muffin mix

1 cup buttermilk

¼ cup vegetable oil

3 tbsp maple syrup

½ tsp vanilla

2 eggs

½ cup finely chopped walnuts

 

Frosting:

4 oz softened cream cheese

2 tbsp softened butter

3 tbsp maple syrup

½ tsp vanilla

½ tsp maple flavor

2 cups powdered sugar

¼ cup finely chopped walnuts

 

 

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees  and line 16 muffin cups with foil or paper cups
  2. Combine all ingredients except walnuts. Stir in ½ cup of walnuts and spoon the batter evenly into the cups.
  3. Bake for 16 to 20 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes and remove from pan.  Let cool completely.
  4. For frosting: Combine all ingredients except powdered sugar and walnuts. Gradually add in powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Frost and garnish with walnuts.
