Ingredients:
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
1 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tsp grated lemon zest
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
6 Apples
1 cup raisins
1 large beaten egg
1 tsp sugar
9” double pie crust
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray 9” pie pan with cooking spray.
- Mix together brown sugar, sugar, flour, lemon zest, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Peel, core and thinly slice apples. . Add to sugar mix and then add in raisins. Pour everything into pie pan.
- Put second piecrust on top of filling. Press down edges with a fork and make steam vents in middle of crust.
- Brush top lightly with a beaten egg and sprinkle with some sugar.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
