Our pan was designed with a customized rack to hold meatballs in place while baking, so there's no messy frying. And all the fats drain into the baker, so your meatballs are healthier. Both the roasting pan and rack are non-stick coated for easy clean-up. This flexible tool also works great for other dishes such as shish-kebab and stuffed mushrooms, and the roaster can be used without the rack whenever you need!

Use & Care
Before use, wash pan with warm, soapy water. Sharp-edged utensils and knives should not be used. Avoid using scouring pads and abrasive cleaners. Usually a soft sponge or kitchen brush will remove baked on food particles. Sometimes it may be necessary to scrub lightly. Dry thoroughly before storing. This product is dishwasher safe, however hand-washing is recommended to extend product life. DO NOT use dishwasher detergent tablets / capsules. The concentrated cleansers will damage the non-stick finish on bakeware. This set is oven safe to 450°F / 232°C. It is not intended to be used under the broiler.

I love the Meatball Baker, but read the cleaning instructions CAREFULLY.
This is my "go to" pan. Of course, I've used this to roast meatballs. And, I've used it to bake chicken wings. But, I've also poured a bag of frozen brussel sprouts and a package of fresh whole mushrooms onto the rack and then placed a split turkey breast over them to bake. I've taken fresh corn on the cob and removed the silk, but left one leaf on, and laid the cobs on the rack (with the leaf on the bottom - to catch the juices) and placed chicken thighs over them to bake; I've done the same thing with frozen corn on the cob - works just as great! This week I made turkey meatballs that were too wet to place directly on the rack, so I laid a cabbage leaf under each meatball and my meal was better because of it!

Now, for the "not so good" part. I'm assuming that my pan coating is less than perfect BECAUSE either (1) I have not been following the cleaning directions, or (2) because I always add a cup of water to the pan before placing it in the oven (I think it helps clean up the grease later), or (3) I use this pan ALL THE TIME. As for the cleaning instructions - this Meatball Baker MIGHT be dishwasher safe, but the cleaning instructions say that you MAY NOT use dishwasher detergent tablets / capsules (which I have been using). So, if you're planning on making this purchase - which I DO recommend - it must be either hand washed or cleaned with liquid dishwasher detergent).

The only thing I would change to make this pan PERFECT is to place handles on the pan. It's nice to have the handles on the rack because it makes it easier to lift, but it's a little cumbersome getting two oven mitts beneath the pan to remove it from the oven - handles would help.

Honestly, I love this pan and plan to replace what I have with a new one and then FOLLOW THE CLEANING DIRECTIONS and hopefully keep it in use for 25 years.
