INGREDIENTS
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 bottle (12 ounce) beer (try using a Christmas Ale!)
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Brush the bottom of each mini loaf cavity with melted butter; set pans and remaining butter aside.
  • Whisk together flour, Italian seasoning, baking powder, sugar, salt and garlic powder in a large bowl.
  • Add red and green peppers; stir to combine.
  • Pour beer on top of the flour mixture and stir with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until a sticky dough forms.
  • Spoon dough into each of the mini loaf cavities, filling almost completely.
  • Brush with remaining butter, then sprinkle ½ teaspoon of parmesan on each mini loaf.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until tops are crisp and golden.
  • Let cool in pans 15 minutes; then transfer to a wire rack to cook completely.
